Please welcome our new blogger Meg Grant! Meg Grant (NZ/US) is a designer, technologist and maker, researching smart textiles and wearable electronics. Formally trained in fashion design and a self-taught programmer, her work often uses humor combined with an emphasis on the aesthetics of electronics, tailoring and handcrafting techniques.
She has taught Smart Textiles and Mode Technologie at Willem de Kooning Academy in the Netherlands and recently her collaborative project for a photovoltaic yarn (Solar Fiber) won an innovation award and was featured at Dutch Design Week and in the NeMo Museum energy innovation exhibition.
