I recently purchased a 2lb spool of the 235/34 2 ply HC Conductive Silver Thread from Shieldex for my workshops this summer and to make the Salt n’ Peanut Soft Circuit kits. I have a handful of extra spools of thread that I’m offering for sale for $13 via Sof-circuit.com. If you’re interested in experimenting with new types of thread, I am hoping to buy larger spools from various manufacturers throughout the year. I will do my best to try to offer them occasionally for sale as I know how difficult it is to get ahold of small quantities of new conductive materials. The main obstacle isn’t the cost so much as it is the time spooling the larger cones into smaller spools for distribution. My goal is to expand the resources available to the Smart Crafting community and also to try to get feedback from all of you as to which conductive materials you prefer and learn about your experiences with them. I suppose you can consider this a form of collective research 🙂 If you do purchase the new thread, please follow up and post your experiences on the discussion forum. Also if there are any other materials you are interested in, please LMK. Perhaps we can setup a collective pool of sorts to get access to them.
