The Kinetic Defense Handbag, created by CooperJay Kim, is designed as an alerting system of sorts that protects the wearer from potential thugs.
The wooden structure of the bag appears to be more of a weapon than the the zip tie “teeth” but I enjoy the animation of the bag itself.
This project conceptually reminds me of a wearable that I saw few years prior titled “No-Contact” jacket. When activated by the wearer, 80,000 volts of low amperage electric current pulses through the entire coat preventing any contact. Who needs a taser when your best defense mechanism can be your bag or coat.
