Having fantasized some time now about moving handbags I was delighted to discover this birdcage bag made by accessories designer Lulu Guinness and animatronic designer Adam Wright. I am particularly enamoured with this combination of the history of technology and modern day fashion. The bag is reminiscent of the automata birdcages, which were made by the thousands a century ago. The bird in the bag will flutter and sing and a light in the top of the bag illuminates the bird, but will also help you put on makeup using the small mirror hidden in the top. In case you are wondering what the storage capacity of this bag is, you have to look at the small drawer in front. According to Adam Wright it can hold a house key, a ten pound note and a lipstick.
